Renata Bonzo

Renata Bonzo, born in Milan where she lives and works, after attending the High School of Art and Brera Art Academy started teaching art. The activity of teacher accompanies her throughout her life, from being instructor at the Milan School of Cartoons to botanical drawing courses at the Brera Botanical Garden.

She has been for many years a naturalist illustrator, botanical painter and watercolorist, has often participated in important exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Renata Bonzo is a founding member of Floraviva and has been for years a member of the Italian Association of Watercolorists.

Nadia Tognazzo

Nadia Tognazzo was born in Milan where she lives and works. She has had a passion for painting since she was a child, but it is with the technique of watercolor, acquired in 1989 under the guidance of two great Italian watercolor that she expresses her true inner self. Since then, using watercolor has been a totally fulfilling experience.

Her painting is mostly figurative but with a decisive intimist tone. Her watercolors show strong emotion expressed through the use of bold instinctive strokes. An energetic tension is shown in the use of contrasts, tone and strong colors, sometimes diluted to light veils and sometimes concentrated in strong lines. Inspiration is drawn principally from the reality of city life and from nature, which is a source of meditation necessary to find an inner calm, always more difficult due to the complexity of modern life. The search for a balance between emotion, visual synthesis and line is a fundamental part of her artistic expression and pushes her to experiment with continual evolution.

In addition to painting activity, Nadia Tognazzo teaches courses in watercolors in Milan and in the North of Italy and, during the summer, in Dalarna, Sweden. She has taken part in many exhibitions in Italy and abroad.

Liza Volgina

Elizaveta Volgina was born in 1989 in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. She graduated from the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, specializing in architect and artist. She is a member of the Association of Botanical Artists of England and Russia.

Since childhood, she has shown great interest in nature and drawing together with her twin sister Olga. They were constantly looking for something interesting and fantasizing.

Living in a northern climate, she was fascinated by those summer days when all the plants were in bloom, and she could contemplate the beauty of nature while out of town on summer vacations. This time impressed her so much that to this day her work is based on those childhood memories. In parallel with the watercolor painting, she is also creating patterns from my botanical art.

The design stage of the pattern is very interesting and important for her. This allows her to create a vibrant pattern hidden in strict geometry where she can apply the skills of an architect and designer. She always tries to find original compositional solutions giving herself absolute freedom to experiment.

Jo Endoro

Born as a sculptor, inspired by the neoclassical forms of Canova, reinterpreted through the use of innovative techniques.

His works in marble and bronze are born from a timeless gaze, capable of going beyond a noisy present characterized by the persistent focus on appearance.

During his last years spent in the Dominican Republic, he also devoted himself to painting, depicting the most famous classical and neoclassical sculptures of European art on recycled wood panels from the heart of the rainforest, through the use of mixed techniques.

The old and the new, the present and the past continue to meet even in his most recent artworks, where an urban and refined pop sensibility has to deal with the challenge posed by the classical element, which forces the viewer to stop and reflect on its roots.

Jenny Fusca

Jenny Fusca is a contemporary, floral artist who explores a joyful world in her large scale botanicals.

Her work celebrates the forms and colours found in nature.  She combines her eye for detail and love of gardening in her work: growing much of what she paints.

She plans each composition to reveal intimate details of the bloom: in the same way that a portrait painter attempts to reveal the character of a person.  Her process involves applying multiple layers of colour and glazing to achieve a finish that is both vibrant and immersive.

“I have always had an emotional response to flowers – they constantly delight and surprise me.  I challenge myself to convey this in my paintings.  When someone first sees my work and there is an intake of breath, I know they are reacting to this”

“My work is about creating space in our lives for the natural world.  I invite you to take a moment to gaze deeply, breath and notice the small, beautiful details.  The simple act of appreciation can be transformative”

Jenny paints full time from her studio in Sydney, Australia.  She exhibits several times a year.  Her works are sought after by collectors within Australia and around the world.

Angela Hawkey

Art has always been a part of her life. Angela lives in Australia and she was first introduced to oil painting by her grandfather, who was an extremely talented landscape artist. Growing up, art is what gave her confidence, made her feel relaxed and challenged her at the same time.

Having a strong heritage in the arts, she explored many art mediums; but her two passions are oil palette knife painting and photography. Being a photographer and an artist allows her to really notice those little glimpses of beauty that are often missed. She likes to embellish on that.

She draws her inspiration from personal memories, photos taken on her travels, and photos taken by other talented photographers that she admires. Sometimes a combination of all three, as well as a bit of imagination.

Her paintings use an abundance of paint. Thick, buttery paint layered on with a palette knife gives it that extra dimension. People often like to touch her art, and she loves that!

Colorful Australian landscapes with a dash of pink and highly textured still life and floral garden paintings are a great love of hers, but she is always trying new things which helps her style to keep evolving.

You can find her artworks in private collections in the US, UK and Australia.
